Pythagorean Theorem

In math class for our Dot to Dot project we have been learning about the Pythagorean Theorem.
The pythagorean theorem was created by a man named pythagroas who lived during  580b.c
and was one of the first Greek mathematical thinkers. He had many people following him because they were teaching others what he had taught them. The pythagoreans kept their hair long and wore simple clothing, and walked barefooted. Also women can be pythagoreans too.
He died by 500b.c.

Pythagoreans were interested in philosophy  but especially in music and mathematics.
The Pythagorean Theorem says that in a right triangle, the sum of the sqaures of the two right-angle sides will always be the same as the square of the hypotenuse
The pythagorean theorem can be used if the triangle had a right angle (90°) and you made a square on each of the three sides, then the biggest square had the exact same area as the other two squares put together!
